Import-Export Specialist
Position Summary
The Import – Export Specialist supports import/export process efficiency and ensures that the movement
of goods in and out is done in compliance with customs regulations while aiming to improve on-time
delivery of goods.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Review of import and export documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Track accuracy of documentation and verify compliance.
- Update import and export systems as needed or locally defined in the assigned country
- Liaise with customs and local authorities on daily operational issues.
- Ensuring all import and export duty tariff codes are correctly applied to incoming and outgoing
shipments. - Support compliance with customs requirements.
- Support regulatory self-audits for compliance with the latest customs regulations.
- Keep customs documents in proper filing, maintenance and retention systems.
- Build customs knowledge for local organizations in the country.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Procurement or Business Administration
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience – preferably in Oil & Gas
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Knowledge of logistics rules, regulations and processes
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic industry
