Drilling Services Operator
One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Drilling Services Operator to work on a 12 – month assignment in their facilities in Turkana. He/she will report the Drilling Superintendent, the Drilling Services Operator will complete services associated in support of drilling operations and assist with various activities as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Move supplies and operate equipment in support of ongoing drilling operations.
- Support drilling operations while maintaining a safe work environment and follow all standards, policies and procedures, including OSHA standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs and troubleshoot on drill services equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize mobile equipment including a water truck, vacuum truck, telehandler, and other commercial vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Coordinate activities with other team members effectively.
Experience:
- Proficiency in rig operations and maintenance.
- Experience in heavy equipment operations including water trucks, vac trucks and telehandlers.
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting repairs.
Work Environment:
- Lifting and carrying large (50+ lbs) tools and equipment independently.
- Working in various weather conditions for long periods of time.
- Must work in compliance with the client’s site Health and Safety program.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, CDL is a plus
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and background check
