Roustabout and Rig Up Crew – Completion
Position Overview:
One of our major oil and gas client’s is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for the position of Roustabout and Rig Up/Rig Out. This temporary role involves supporting the setup and teardown of fracturing equipment and general rig operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rig Up/Rig Out: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of fracturing equipment and related components on the rig site.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Material Handling: Transport and handle materials and equipment as required, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the site for operations, including setup of rig components and ensuring readiness for fracturing activities.
- General Labor: Support various tasks on the rig, including but not limited to, lifting, carrying, and positioning equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other crew members and supervisors to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- KCSE or equivalent required; technical training, certifications, or equivalent oil & gas operations field experience strongly preferred
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging conditions.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to comply with all safety regulations.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the job.
Additional Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in the oil & gas industry – Tullow Oil Kenya experience preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
